When to use a service report

Complete a service report during or after a site visit. Record the original problem, diagnosis, work performed and follow-up required while the details are fresh.

    What should it include?

Include the work order reference, technician, arrival and departure, actions taken, materials used, labor hours, recommendations and completion status.

Where it fits in the workflow

A service report records actual work. Its item list is carried forward from the work order; review it against materials and labor actually used before creating an invoice.

    A few useful answers

Can a customer sign the report?

The PDF provides blank customer and technician signature lines for signing on paper. This version does not collect electronic signatures.

Does the report automatically calculate labor charges?

No. Labor hours document the visit. Review and update the billable line items before converting to an invoice; hours do not silently change prices.

    Where are my documents saved?
