When to use a work order

Use a work order when a job is approved and ready to schedule. It records what the crew needs to do, where to go, who to contact and which materials are planned.

    What should it include?

Include the customer, job site, on-site contact, assigned crew, scope, task list, materials, priority, scheduled time and special instructions.

Where it fits in the workflow

A work order organizes the work to be done. A service report records what actually happened. Create an invoice from either document when you are ready to bill.

    A few useful answers

Will internal notes appear in the PDF?

No. Internal notes stay in the local editor. Customer notes and special instructions are included in the customer-facing PDF.

Are prices shown on the work order?

The PDF shows item descriptions, quantities and units. Rates are retained locally for conversion to an invoice.

    Where are my documents saved?

Only in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data deletes local drafts. Download PDFs you need to keep, and avoid shared devices for private customer information.
